Getting Middle-School Fashion Ready!

Former Fashion Editor Karen Sommer Shalett offers your daughter and four of her friends an opportunity to learn about a few fashion trends that will make them look great, but more importantly feel great. With talk about respect for their bodies, Karen will lead a trip of five 4th and/or 5th grade girls with their parent/caregiver for three to four hours to a few stores such as H&M, Forever 21, and Old Navy to find a cute outfit each, that the girls' parents can decide if they choose to buy. Karen will treat the girls to lunch while she talks through some of the trends. In addition to covering New York Fashion Week and writing about fashion for 13 years, Karen has mentored young girls and women for more than 20 years.
