Dancing with the Stars?

Gerry and Joni Sommer, grandparents of Rock Creek Forest Elementary School's Nathaniel and Simon Shalett, have been dancing together for 50 years — literally, it's the 50th anniversary of their first dance together on May 15, 2014. In addition to dancing the Lindy and Cha-cha at every gala, ball, and Bat Mitzvah they can attend, they teach others (including MCPS middle school students) how to prepare for their own big dance moments, or even small ones. If you and a partner would like to learn the Lindy and/or Cha-cha in advance of an event or just for the fun of it — or you'd like your children to — Joni and Gerry will come to your home for an hour with their own music and offer a lesson you'll never forget! They will teach a choreographed father-daughter or newlywed first dance.
