Why is a mobile technology lab important?
- Technology benefits classroom instruction, according to 74% of teachers who responded to a recent PBS LearningMedia survey.
- Among the benefits cited by teachers is the ability to expand content, motivate students and provide more individualized instruction.
- About 65% of teachers say technology allows them to present information in ways that otherwise would be impossible. (KQED.org/Mind/Shift blog)
- Recent polls of SmartBrief on EdTech readers found that school- or teacher-led programs primarily are driving the use of classroom technology. Among those surveyed, about 57.6% said that a lack of funding was the greatest factor in limiting the use of classroom technology.
- Students at a day school in Tennessee are able to work at their own pace -- and instructional level -- under a teaching strategy that incorporates technology and group work. Since adopting the method, educators say students are more engaged and their scores have risen. (The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tenn.)

(Tickets purchased via pay pal will be pre-stuffed in the appropriate class jar) The grade that has collected the most tickets by the end of the evening wins an ice cream party on a date to be determined by the Principal. Popsicles will be provided to children with nut allergies. Winning class will be announced the Monday following the auction.

Join the families from the Kensington Grey Squirrel bus stop for an end of summer bash. Enjoy the sweet country stylin's of RCF's own Dan Jenkin and his band along with a country BBQ for an adult only evening. What a great way to reconnect after your summer adventures! The party is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, September 6th and reminders will be sent in August with confirmation of the location by your co-hosts Camillia and Steven Jacobs and Trish and Bob Gac.
